About the Roadrunners

Founded in 2015, the Roadrunners are a middle school and high school composite cross country mountain bike team based in the Coachella Valley. Safety is our number one priority, and we also focus on teaching on the bike skills, teamwork, responsibility, and respect for the trails and wilderness. Most of all, we want our student athletes to have fun, and develop a lifetime love of cycling.

We compete in the composite division of the SoCal League. Our spring season, which begins in December, consists of 5 races each for middle school and high school. Team practice typically begins in December, with races starting in February.

Our coaching team is made up of individuals who are committed to our athlete’s safety, character development, and overall well being. Our coaches are focused on teaching our riders proper values, such as: discipline, hard work, overcoming fear, rising to challenges, self respect, goal setting, and taking pride in themselves, their teammates, and their bikes.

We are a 100% volunteer run non profit organization. We rely on the generous support of our athlete’s families, volunteers, sponsors and the community in order to provide the best opportunities for our riders. Our sponsors help provide scholarship assistance, practice equipment, supplies (first aid kits, tubes), race day supplies (food, drinks, canopies, transportation expenses), tools and repair equipment for practices/races, and coach training.
